Meet Us at the 2012 NY Art Book Fair!

Where we’ll be today and this weekend!

This morning marked the official opening of Printed Matter’s 7th annual New York Art Book Fair, held at MoMA PS1 in Long Island City, Queens.  We exhibited at last year’s fair, and have been looking forward to returning – it’s a fantastic, energetic, fun, and inspiring event.

Please come visit us at table E5 at the Fair, but be sure to allow plenty of time to make your way slowly through the entire space.  From beautiful, bound ink and paper publications to visionary, experimental publishing in art and design, it’s all here. The Fair features literally hundreds of other US and international art book publishers, as well as unique voices presenting artist books, magazines, zines, and every other periodical under the sun; and the days and evenings are packed with screenings, performances, and signings.  This is, obviously, a not-to-be-missed occasion for book enthusiasts and art enthusiasts – but the acts on the program include a lecture on surfing and the sport’s relationship to language; an exorcism; and a performance by Malcolm Mooney, original vocalist with Can, so we feel confident asserting that there is, quite simply, something at the New York Art Book Fair for everyone.

The Fair will be open today, Saturday, and Sunday, and is free and open to the public. A full schedule can be found here; Cambridge Book will live-stream selected sessions here.

See you there!
